Day 1: Arrival in Wayanad
Arrival at Calicut Airport/Railway station (assistance upon arrival) and drive to Wayanad (3-hour drive). Check into the hotel on arrival. Spend the day at your leisure or explore nearby attractions to your hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Wayanad.
Day 2: Wayanad Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for a day of sightseeing. Wayanad is set at an altitude of 700 - 2100 m above sea level and has preserved its natural beauty. The fast-flowing rivers—Panamaram, Mananthavady, and Kabini—enhance Wayanad's charm. Key attractions include Pookode Lake, Soojipara Waterfalls (closed on Mondays), Kuruva Island (dependent on water level, closed on Mondays), Edakkal Cave (closed on Mondays), and Chembra Peak. Day 3: Travel to Calicut
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Calicut (2.5-hour drive). Day 4: Journey to Athirapilly
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Athirapilly (4-hour drive). Athirapilly Waterfalls is a popular picnic spot where water cascades from a height of nearly 80 feet into the Chalakudi River. Check into the hotel on arrival and spend the day at leisure. Day 5: Scenic Drive to Munnar
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Munnar (5-hour drive). Enjoy views of waterfalls and scenic spots along the way. Upon reaching Munnar, check into the hotel and relax for the remainder of the day. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6:Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a day of local sightseeing. Munnar, located at 1600 meters above sea level, is at the confluence of three mountain streams—Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale. Once a summer retreat for the British government in South India, local attractions include the Rose Garden, Photo Point, Honey Tree, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundale Lake. In the afternoon, visit Rajamalai to spot the rare Nilgiri Tahrs. Overnight stay arranged in Munnar.
Day 7: Backwater Cruise from Alleppey
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. Embark on a delightful overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats. Check-in time is at 1:00 PM, and the cruise starts with lunch. While cruising, enjoy the views of lush paddy fields, local settlements, rustic homes, ancient churches/temples, and swaying coconut groves. Meals will be served on board. Day 8: Departure
